PERCEIVE
Work through the PERCEIVE card to carefully investigate your artwork.

CONSIDER
Read about the artwork. These are all artworks that depict specific places and historic events. Imagine you are a time-and-space-traveling journalist. You need to investigate just what is going on in this image for a broadcast report. Brainstorm a list of questions you would ask the main character in this artwork to learn more about their lives and the situation pictured. Use the best of your questions to create the outline of an interview. Research the time and situation more deeply. If available, read the EXPLORE MORE card and if you have time, see what else you can discover.

CREATE
Use your questions as an outline and write up an imagined interview with the character in your artwork. Think about what you should ask first, then what questions might follow-up or build on your character's answers. You can start your questions with "Q" and your imagined responses or answers with "A" Use the historical and cultural information you've learned to help create the most realistic responses you can.

REFLECT
Read your interview out loud. Does the conversation flow? Is it natural and realistic? Does your interview build? Do questions lead into each other? Change around questions if needed. What is your most important question? Was it hard to answer? Why or why not?
